Simply a Better Built Spa
Durable spas are built with durable, sustainable materials.
Crafted without wood, fiberglass, or foam, our spas are designed withstand the test of time.
Say goodbye to concerns about foam absorbing water, rotting wood, and blistering fiberglass.
100% of spas leak (eventually). It's what other damage that leak causes and how easy it is to repair that makes our spa so unique and long lasting.
No Wood Construction
At AquaZen Spas, we are passionate about green building techniques, sustainable materials and low environmental impact practices.
We start by respecting the earth and creatures that live on it including the trees and our employees.
Here is a very simple thought experiment:
If you were building a deck off your home today, and the cost were the same, would you build it with treated lumber (and the "treated" part means carcinogenic chemicals) or a maintenance free alternative like "Trex".
There you go.

Sustainable Waterproof Frame
Our frame is made from the same post consumer recycled plastic product as todays advanced building materials are made from.
It will never rot, get water logged or fall apart.
Wood and water? Seriously? Who would still build like that.
There is a better way and it does not include killing trees then treating the wood with cancer causing chemicals.

Fiberglass Free Shell
Every good spa shell starts as an acrylic sheet, as does ours. We source our acrylic from Lucite (now Optix) using their abs backed premium sheet material. Not everyone does.
The shell is then formed from a mold and it stretches down three feet from a 1/4" thick flat sheet, to paper thin at the bottom.
It must be supported to be able to hold water and people. Almost all other manufacturers use fiberglass at this point.
Why?
Cheap materials and labor are easier than upgrading to robotics.
Just look at the difference in workmanship.
Our robotically applied urethane lasts longer, has zero weak spots and does not depend on if the "arm" applying it was out late last night.
It will never crack or blister and will last as long as you care to own your spa.

Robotically Machined
Just like the fiberglass story, drilling holes in a spa shell can be precise or just close enough.
Our robots machine precise holes in the same location every time.
The process of manually "eyeballing" it with a hole saw means that the jets are slightly different in each spa they build.
If the hole is imperfect or misaligned, that spa will develop leak.
Very few manufacturers use precision robotics instead of manual labor. They've all been doing it the same old way for too long to change.

Zero Foam Insulation
Insulation has only one purpose, to keep heat in. It may shock you to know that "full foam" spas actually do the opposite.
The heater is NOT the only thing that generates heat in a spa. Everything electronic and mechanical produces heat.
Foamed spas trap the pump and controls in a small "un-foamed" cavity. The heat they produce must be vented out to prevent them from over heating and burning up.
Our unique insulated wall panels trap this "ambient heat" inside the spa cabinet. The heated spa cabinet transfers this free heat into the plumbing in turn heating the spa water.
This leads to shorter heating cycles saving you money on energy costs and helps the heating components last longer because they work less often.
It also makes our spas some of the most energy efficient in the industry.
And as a bonus, if you ever develop a leak, which 100% of all spas do eventually, simply open the cabinet, peek in and make the repair.
You will never have to dig endlessly trying to find the thing like this guy.

Bottom Line
No Wood No Foam No Fiberglass No Problem
